Ahoy, mateys! Set sail for fun and adventure on a pirate ship full of puppies.   Fighting like cats and dogs? Exactly! The puppy pirates played a prank on the kitten pirates, and meow! The kittens sure are mad. Can the pups escape the kittens’ claws? It’s dog vs. cat, and may the best pirates win.   Two perennial kid favorites—dogs and pirates—combine in the new chapter book series perfect for fans of Rainbow Magic, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, and Paw Patrol.

My Thoughts

This is an adorable chapter book for children just starting to advance into longer books.  It stars pirate puppies and kittens and they are fighting like cats and dogs, something adults will appreicate if they chose to read this one out loud.  The story is full of pranks, sailing on the high seas and just enough adventure to make kids read straight through.  I found that this one appealed to everyone.

i haven’t read any dog books lately. I just moved so reading was put on back burner for a little while 🙂

  2. Crystal Cox says

I was actually just talking about this lol. My daughter loves a book called Take The Dog Out, she just loves it and when you get to the end they have a list of things you can go back through and search for hidden in the book.

  3. Wendy Caddy says

I recently read Murder Most Howl. That’s the closet thing to a dog book I’ve read lately.
