Hope has cystic fibrosis and has been home from school for what seems like forever. Her best friend, Ethan, stops by to chat and bring her homework so she can keep up with school. Her breathing has gotten a bit better and she convinces her mother and doctor to return to school. When she receives a mysterious invitation, she decides that she must find out what it is all about and even though she is a “good girl”, she borrows her mother’s car and at midnight ends up a deserted warehouse. There she finds the popular kids from all cliques at school.
The group is challenged to dares in order to win a cash prize but no one can tell who or how the challenges were set up. Each dare is set up to find a weakness in the girls, especially Hope. The story is full of nail-biting moments and you will definitely have to read this one straight through. I found it a bit predictable but overall it was a very fun read. Parents: some alcohol/drug references, implied violence, some language but pretty safe for younger teens.
