Welcome to the next spot on the CALL ME GRIM by ELIZABETH HOLLOWAY blog tour!
- What is the first book you remember reading by yourself as a child?
The first book I clearly remember reading is Richard Scarry’s Cars and Trucks and Things That Go. Looking at that cover brings back a rush of memories. I loved looking for Goldbug on every page. Of course, my mother read it to me first, but after a while I read it by myself. It’s been years since I’ve seen this book, but I could still probably recite it from memory.
- What are you reading right now?
Currently, I’m reading The Fourth Wish by Lindsay Ribar. It’s fantastic, as I knew it would be.
- How does your garden grow?
It doesn’t. Weeds, however, thrive. But maybe I’m being too literal in my interpretation of your question. If you’re asking how my creative garden grows, it needs lots of patience, love, and persistence. Coffee and chocolate are helpful, too.
- What is the last thing you Googled?
This is really boring, but I just googled Richard Scarry’s Cars and Trucks and Things That Go so I could get the picture for this post. *yawn*
The weirdest thing I’ve googled would have to be “What does a corpse look like after 100 years in a mausoleum?” That was for a novel I was writing, of course, but not CALL ME GRIM. I write strange stuff sometimes.
- What makes you cringe?
Telling and not showing, predictable plotlines, there/their/they’re misuse, you’re/your misuse, broken bones, videos where real people get hurt and it’s supposed to be funny but it just sucks.
ABOUT CALL ME GRIM:
Title: Call Me Grim
Publication date: September 9, 2014
Publisher: Month9Books, LLC.
Author: Elizabeth Holloway
The truck should have turned Libbi Piper into a Libbi Pancake — and it would have, too, if Aaron hadn’t shown up and saved her life. The problem? Aaron’s the local Grim Reaper… and he only saved Libbi’s life because he needs someone to take over his job. Now, Libbi has two days to choose between dying like she was supposed to, or living a lonely life as Death Incarnate. Talk about a rock and a hard place.
And the choice goes from hard to sucktastic when her best friend shows up marked: condemned as a future murderer. Libbi could have an extra week to stop the murder and fix the mark… but only if she accepts Aaron’s job as Reaper, trapping herself in her crappy town forever, invisible and inaudible to everyone except the newly dead. But, if she refuses? Her best friend is headed straight for Hell.
