  2. I am grateful for Dumplin’ by Julie Murphy. Whenever I feel that I don’t look how I want to look I think of Willowdean and her friends, listen to a little Dolly and go out and face the world anyway!

  5. I’m grateful for everything by Rudyard Kipling, but my favorite was the story of Rikki Tikki Tavi. It was the first book that I ever read by myself when I was a kid, and I fell in love with reading because of it.

  24. There are two. The BIBLE is first and foremost and then there is – BITTEN by Kelley Armstrong because it got me reading again.

  25. I’m thankful for the Harry Potter books. They got me back into reading and I read them with my nephew.

  30. I am thankful for the Harry Potter series. It brought my husband and I together when we were dating, and now we can read the books with our son!

  32. I am grateful for the baby books my mom put in my crib when I was a baby. It started me on a life long journey of reading wonderful books.

  34. Each and every book I’ve ever read. I’m grateful for books like the Harry Potter series, Lemony Snickett’s Series of Unfortunate Events, and Percy Jackson series that get kids interested in reading. 🙂

  37. I’m grateful for Sandra Boyton books that created a teenager who is a voracious reader and loves to write!

  39. I am grateful for Little women. That is one of the books that got me interested in reading when I was young.

  40. I am grateful for the Betsy and Tace books that turned me onto reading as a child. For LOTR, the Hobbit & Watership Down for showing me how fantasy can come alive.

  42. I am grateful for Agatha Christie whose books I have loved and read over and over particularly “At Bertrams Hotel.”

  46. I’d have to say the Nancy Drew books that I found in my closet when I was in 6th grade. They were hardback copies from the 1940’s. I had found them in my closet and asked my mom about them. She told me they were hers from when she was about my age. That started my love of reading 🙂

  48. I am grateful for the Harry Potter series because not only did I enjoy them but it inspired my daughter to read!

  51. I will always be grateful that I read Twilight. It was my very first book and it introduced me to my love of reading. Thank you!

  52. I am grateful for any paranormal romance book! Especially Laurell K. Hamilton’s Anita Blake and Merry Gentry series!

  53. I just finished reading Wonder last night, I guess I am grateful for that book because it’s such an inspiration. It reminded me to be kinder. We can all be kind but we should aim to be kinder. I love it! I’m going to gift it to my godchildren.

  55. I’m grateful for anything by Neil Gaiman – especially The Ocean at the End of the Lane! I just love being transported to another world, and he does it so well.

  70. The Bell Jar, I found that book as a teenager, and it was an amazing comfort. Unfortunately, I was dealing with a lot of issues, and it helped a lot in feeling as if I wasn’t all alone.

  71. The book I’m most grateful I read (besides the Bible) would be Morgan Matson’s Since You’ve Been Gone. I related to Emily so much. I was going through a lot of the same struggle she does and it made me feel like I wasn’t so alone in what I was dealing with.

  74. I know it is not original but the Harry Potter series. This was a series my daughters and I would read together as they came out. We even went to a couple of the midnight release parties. Now my nephew is reading the series and talks to us about them. Someday my granddaughter will start them and I can’t wait.

  79. I am grateful for any book that takes me to another world. Any book that I can immerse myself in!

  96. I’ve read so many wonderful books this year. I can’t pick just one. I just finished reading a book by Steena Holmes that was very well written.

  98. The book I’m grateful for is Moonfire by Linda lael Miller because it got me started reading.
