I received this book at no cost from the publisher
Wow – Ten Years already! It seems like yesterday (ok it was 8 years ago) that I read Vampire Acadamy and I still have my original copy along with Richelle’s other books. I am a huge Georgina fan as well. It is kept on my top “do not touch” shelf right behind the pink dachshund I got as a child! Check out that dachshund’s nose – my copy is right there!
Richelle Mead celebrates 10 years of Vampire Academy with an exclusive, never-before-seen collection of stories that sheds new light on the world and its players:
- The Turn and the Flametakes a deeper look into the dark stain on the Ozera dynasty…
- Hello My Name is Rose Hathaway tracks the shenanigans that ensue when Rose and Dimitri become unlikely teammates in a high-stakes scavenger hunt…
- The Meetinggives us a glimpse of Rose Hathaway through Dimitri’s eyes…
- From the Journal of Vasilisa Dragomirunearths the princess’s private thoughts from a transformative period of her life…
St. Vladimir’s Academy isn’t just any boarding school–it’s a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess. They’ve been on the run, but now they’re being dragged back to St. Vladimir’s–the very place where they’re most in danger. . . .
Rose and Lissa become enmeshed in forbidden romance, the Academy’s ruthless social scene, and unspeakable nighttime rituals. But they must be careful lest the Strigoi–the world’s fiercest and most dangerous vampires–make Lissa one of them forever.
About the Author
Richelle Mead is an international bestselling author of over twenty-five books for both adults and teens. Her Georgina Kincaid and Dark Swan series take a witty but edgy look at the paranormal while her sci-fi Age of X series shows us a future with no religion. Over on the young adult side, Richelle has written the much-acclaimed Vampire Academy series and its spin-off, Bloodlines, about a secret society keeping the vampire world hidden from humans. Her latest project, The Glittering Court, takes place in a fantasy world inspired by colonial America, following the adventures of three impoverished girls trained up to be “ladies” who can make advantageous marriages in a dangerous new world across the sea.
Richelle’s books have been on the New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists and received honors from the American Library Association. Her books have been translated into over two dozen languages, as well as adapted into graphic novels. In 2014, Vampire Academy was made into a feature film. A lifelong reader, Richelle loves mythology and wacky humor. When not writing, she can be found spending time with her family, buying dresses, and watching bad reality TV.
