Pushing the Boundaries (Off Limits #1)

Publication Date: January 16, 2017
Publisher: Entangled Teen Crush
Myra goes to Haiti with one goal: take the photograph that will win a scholarship and prove to her uber-traditional family that she has what it takes to be a photographer instead of a doctor. Her camera has always been her shield against getting too close to anyone, but she didn’t expect the hot teen translator who has an ability to see past her walls.
Elias needs his job as a translator to provide for his siblings. He can’t afford to break the rule forbidding him from socializing with a client. Except this girl Myra insists on going outside the city to capture the perfect picture, and he steps in as her guide in order to keep her safe.
The deeper they travel into the country, the harder they fall for each other. Now they’re both taking risks that could cost each other their dreams.
If they get too close—it could ruin both their lives.

PLEASE WELCOME STACEY TO BOOKHOUNDS YA
1. What is on your nightstand?
A journal, a bible, several half empty water bottles and my current read: Beyond The Red by Ava Jae.
2. What author would you totally fan?
I love Kiersten Nelson for her voice, Maggie Stiefvater because, well because I’m not totally insane and Neil Gaiman for both his writing and off the page (often on blog) personality (I could use Neil Gaiman quotes for days.)
3. What makes you cringe?
The sound of Styrofoam squeaking. UCK!
4. Do you obsessively plot out each point or just go with the flow?
Depends on the book, but I’m moving more in the direction of plotting more. I enjoy writing much more than revising and plotting helps ensure my revisions go much quicker. For my current WIP I wrote out a chapter by chapter outline for the whole book (a big time first for me!) I hope when I finish writing it it’ll be ready for beta readers rather quickly.
5. Is there a word you love to use?
Well, there are definitely words I tend to overuse and have to keep an eye out for, for sure. They’re not words I like that I like to use but my subconscious writer doesn’t want to give them up.
On the more fun side, I like to describe lips and eyes often. *swoons*
I actually made a word cloud for Pushing The Boundaries which is fun! It kinda goes with the last question so I thought I’d include it. Curtesy of wordclouds.com
