A TYPICAL WRITING DAY
There’s nothing really “typical” about my writing days. They are sporadic and totally nonsensical. I have a weird day job schedule of ten days off and ten days at work (13-hour shifts), so I write whenever I can. That might mean writing on a plane, on a bus, in a lunch shack, or in the middle of the night when my family is sleeping. Sometimes I’ll write thousands of words in one sitting. Then I’ll get distracted by something else—maybe by another book I’m writing or a book launch. I’m generally getting pulled in a million different directions with both my writing and my life, so I have to be flexible and write wherever I can whenever I can.
