There are no more cheerleaders in the town of Sunnybrook.
First there was the car accident—two girls gone after hitting a tree on a rainy night. Not long after, the murders happened. Those two girls were killed by the man next door. The police shot him, so no one will ever know why he did it. Monica’s sister was the last cheerleader to die. After her suicide, Sunnybrook High disbanded the cheer squad. No one wanted to be reminded of the girls they lost.
That was five years ago. Now the faculty and students at Sunnybrook High want to remember the lost cheerleaders. But for Monica, it’s not that easy. She just wants to forget. Only, Monica’s world is starting to unravel. There are the letters in her stepdad’s desk, an unearthed, years-old cell phone, a strange new friend at school. . . . Whatever happened five years ago isn’t over. Some people in town know more than they’re saying. And somehow Monica is at the center of it all.
There are no more cheerleaders in Sunnybrook, but that doesn’t mean anyone else is safe.

- What is on your nightstand?
A copy of Two Can Keep a Secret by Karen M. McManus, an essential oil diffuser, and my cell phone.
- What author would you totally fan?
Gillian Flynn
- What makes you cringe?
Adults using teenage slang in casual conversation. No one wants to hear someone my age saying “It’s lit!”
- Do you obsessively plot out each point or just go with the flow?
Something in the middle—I prefer to work with a loose outline that gives me enough room to change my mind as I go.
- Is there a word you love to use?
“Eclipse” works its way into most of my books.

I’d love to read this book thanks
This looks like a fabulous read and reminds me a lot of a true crime case I followed.
This story sounds like it will be interesting.
I love how unsettling this is and the cheerleader factor sounds really intriguing.
(Thanks for the chance to win!)
Your book sounds like it is one I would love to read and I also have to agree that adults using slang in conversation is enough to drive most people crazy.
The Cheerleaders has been on my TBR list forever. This is a book that I really, really want to read!
Can’t wait to read this.
