The highly anticipated sequel to the New York Times bestselling thriller everyone is talking about, One of Us Is Lying! There's a new mystery to solve at Bayview High, and there's a whole new set of rules.
Come on, Bayview, you know you've missed this.
A ton of copycat gossip apps have popped up since Simon died, but in the year since the Bayview four were cleared of his shocking death, no one's been able to fill the gossip void quite like he could. The problem is no one has the facts.
Until now.
This time it's not an app, though—it's a game.
Truth or Dare.
Phoebe's the first target. If you choose not to play, it's a truth. And hers is dark.
Then comes Maeve and she should know better—always choose the dare.
But by the time Knox is about to be tagged, things have gotten dangerous. The dares have become deadly, and if Maeve learned anything from Bronwyn last year, it's that they can't count on the police for help. Or protection.
Simon's gone, but someone's determined to keep his legacy at Bayview High alive. And this time, there's a whole new set of rules.
As a kid I used to write books when I was supposed to be playing outside, and not much has changed. I’m a marketing and communications professional who also writes Young Adult contemporary and fantasy fiction in Cambridge, MA.
When not writing or working I love to travel, and along with my nine-year-old son I’ve ridden horses in Colombia and bicycles through Paris. A member of SCBWI, I hold a bachelor’s degree in English from the College of the Holy Cross and a master’s degree in Journalism from Northeastern University. Which I have never, ever used professionally.

Review
A dangerous game of truth or dare takes hold of Bayview High and follows the secondary characters from One of Us Is Lying. Before I go any further, I think you can read this book without reading the first book, but you might find a bit of character development missing. I think this story is so exciting and easy to pick up that you should have no issues jumping right in. Of course, it opens with another student’s death which really makes you want to jump in and read it until you have no more pages left to turn.
In the previous book, a gossip app caused a death and now an anonymous Reddit poster has lead to a dangerous game of Truth or Dare. The story follows Bronwyn’s sister Maeve and her former boyfriend Knox, along with Phoebe who works with Addy at Cafe Contigo. Now this Truth or Dare game has lead to even more revelations about the students and you can’t avoid the game. The poster of the game and thread on Reddit called Vengence is Mine is leaking information that is very embarrassing to anyone who doesn’t participate in the game. Also, there is a warning that you should always choose the Dare which is causing accidents.
Shoutout for mentioning my Alma Mater Cal State Fullerton and including a Golden Retriever! I just love how easy this book is to follow by how it is laid out with each character have a chapter and is written from that person’s point of view. The dialogue is just above and beyond with it sounding very realistic and quick quips that bring out the snark on a lot of levels. This is just a fun book and one that will be easily devoured. I just wish my rating scale went higher than 5 stars!
