- What is on your nightstand?
My nightstand tends to be loaded down! Right now, it has my humidifier (cause we live in the desert), a bottle of Gatorade, a copy of Edgar Rice Burrough’s A Princess of Mars (what I’m currently reading), a phone charger, and my lamp!
- What author would you totally fan?
Ohhhh Rick Riordan, definitely. As someone who’s studied classics in high school and college, I’m just in awe of his work and creativity! I’d love to geek out over mythology with him!
- What makes you cringe?
Fandom “gatekeepers.” Ugh. I absolutely HATE hearing people check new fans like they have to earn some kind of rite of passage in order to be a “real” fan of something. It’s such a stupid flex and I never hesitate to call those people out on it. There’s room for all in fandoms, guys, and if you truly love a show/series/game/movie, then your goal should be to share that love with other people so they get to experience it, too!
- Do you obsessively plot out each point or just go with the flow?
Well, there’s kind of a running joke with me (reference my Instagram meme feed) that I start out with the best intentions and nice outlines and plots, and about two chapters in the characters take over and I lose all control. Seems to work out in the end, though! So I wouldn’t call myself a plotter or a pantser. I’m more of a … Kermit-Flail-Until-The-Last-Chapter-er!
- Is there a word you love to use?
Pretty much any word I get to borrow/re-imagine from Latin or Greek. I tend to always pull inspiration there when I need to come up with a new name for a place or person.
Also, if you have any pictures of your pet you would like to share, please attach them. My readers love animals!
I have four pets! Joey and Phoebe are our dogs. Neville is our cat. Phevos is my ball python!
